A motivator for the strength orientated

Caged Animal virtual PL meet

Three lifts
Squat, oly or power but below parallel
Deadlift, no hitching, no straps
Bench, to chest (no bouncing), no puase needed.

-All unequipped except for a belt if needed.
-Any size bar, just make sure its weight is correctly accounted for.
-Submit lifts with body weight in kg by March 31st. The total of all three lifts will be used for each person's entry.
-Video evidence needed. Videos need to be of current lifts.

To have as many people competing against each other suggest no weight categories. Maybe use relative strength calculators which take into account all these factors http://tsampa.org/training/scripts/relative_strength/

The idea may be ammended with any suggestions to improve the plan...
Keep us updated with video teasers of whats to come in March.

Keep it all in good spirit and train safely and injury free.

I think it would be better to require video evidence.

I like the idea but I agree with coldfire. We have had a few imaginary squat poundages reported and some people dont perform a flat bench press, they perfrom a lying bench press. You know, where they lie about how much they bench!

how long is this happening?
also, I hate to be off topic, but what do you guys use to shoot your videos?
I find it a little difficult to go online to look for something and search through the terminology (which I don't understand)..
A lot of things I see listed as 'webcams' don't seem to tell me if they need to be plugged into my computer while its recording.

It starts now and ends on 31st March

You can use the video capture function on a phone camera or a normal digital camera. You would then need to transfer the video files to the computer. A webcam usually needs to be plugged into the computer to record videos. Then upload the videos to your Youtube account and link here.
If its too much trouble then just enter your lifts and bodyweight. No biggie.

Ah, seems so. Still no entries.

Do you want to open this up again Spenny and have it run for a longer duration?
